Five ways to beat the university blues

As summer 2015 begins, thousands of students will be graduating university and be crying into their pillows that uni life is over. So here are some ways to beat the university blues...

1 - Job search. Lots and lots of job searching.

As much are we would all like to pretend that this is our freedom for the summer, its the opposite. It's time for us, students, to join the adult world of work. This means updating your CV, searching websites, newspapers, and asking everyone who will listen for jobs and getting countless emails, phonecalls, interviews and yes also rejections. BUT stay hopeful as your future dream job could be just round the corner.

2 - Visit family and friends

If you lived in halls for the past three years then you would have had limited time with friends and family back home. Now is the perfect time to catch up - go for drinks, dinner, and have family BBQ's.

3 - Go travelling or on holiday

What better way to celebrate three years of hard work than to visit somewhere you have never been before - especially if it is in hot weather!

4 - Take up a hobbie/ do something you have always wanted to do

With plenty of free time, taking up a new hobbie is definitely going to get you out of bed in the morning. Join the gym, go swimming, start reading, or start your own blog - the list is endless.

5 - Pick up extra shifts at your current job

If you are currently employed part time, asking for extra shifts or even covering work mates shifts is a great way to earn some extra money and kill the time until the weekend!
